Novi Memorial Day Run 2022 FAQ's
Arrival at Start
For runners, the earlier the better. Lots of parking available at Novi High School.  Limited parking at Fuerst Park. 

6:45 am – Late Signup & Pickup at Fuerst Park
8:00 am – 5K Run/Walk
8:45 am – 1 Mile Family Run/Walk
After 9:15 am – Awards at Registration table

All races starts on Taft Road, South of 10 Mile Road next to Fuerst Park.


Awards
5K  runners:    
Age group award for top 3 Males and Females, in 5 year increments from 14 years old & under to 65+.
   
Awards for all events will be given at the Age Group Awards table at Fuerst Park.



Entertainment
Music at the post-race party at Fuerst Park from 7:00 am-9:00am.



Finish
On Taft Road, adjacent to Fuerst Park, south of 10 Mile Road.



Food
Available for race participants in Fuerst Park including bananas, bagels and other refreshments.



Gear Check
There is no gear check for this race. 



Headphones
While headphones are not prohibited, we strongly recommend runners remain aware of their surroundings for their safety.



Late Registration
Late Registration on Race Day, Monday, May 30th, 6:45am till 7:45 am.
 
On race day, registration prices are:
5K  - $40
Family Mile - $18
 
We cannot guarantee a shirt to late registrants.



Lost & Found
Lost and Found is located at the First Aid tent at Fuerst Park. 



Maps
Maps will be posted at the info table near the registration tables near the Fuerst Park building. A course map is also available on our website at: http://www.novimemorialdayrun.com/contents/race_info



Minimum Age
NO AGE LIMIT for any of the races.


Packet Pick-up
  • Early packet pick up
    • Saturday, May 28th – 11:00 am till 2:00 pm at Fuerst Park in Novi (Taft Road, South of 10 Mile Rd.)
  • Race day packet pick up
    • Monday, May 30th – 6:45 am at Fuerst Park in Novi (Taft Road, South of 10 Mile Rd.)
Parking on Race Day
Recommended parking will be available at Novi Library and Novi High School located on 10 Mile Road & Taft Road. While there is limited parking at Fuerst Park, you may not be able to exit while the race is still in progress, since the Finish Line is on Taft Rd. at the entrance to the park.



Results
Results will be posted outside the registration area. Results will be posted later that day online at www.runmichigan.comand www.everalracemgt.com.

Start Line
ALL THREE RACES begin on Taft Rd., adjacent to Fuerst Park



Street Closures
7:30 am – Taft Road between 9 Mile and 10 Mile Road. Please be aware there may be vehicle traffic on the rest of the course. 



Strollers/Baby Joggers
If you choose to run with a baby jogger or a pet dog, you must seed yourself in the back of all runners.  It is your responsibility to make sure the baby jogger or pet dog does not impede other runners as well as you must take extra precaution as to your safety, your child's safety and the safety of the runners around you.  We reserve the right to pull any person from the race who is endangering other runners or themselves.



T-shirt exchanges
After the race, runners MAY be able to exchange their unworn shirt for a different size, if available at the late registration table.



Timing
For 5 K races, the ChronoTrack timing chip is on the number bib. Runners will need to wear Race Bib on their front (shirt/ jacket/pants) to be scored. The 1 Mile Family Run event has finish clock for timing (no chip timing).



Walkers
If you plan to walk the 5K and/or 1 Mile race, we do require that you line up at the back of the race corral at the start so as not to impede the faster runners.




Water stations
Water provided at the start & finish area.
5K – around the 1.5 Mile mark.
